Sara Whelan

Group Manager Growth and Enterprise , Dacorum Borough Council

Sara has worked in Planning since July 2004. Starting her career at Three Rivers District Council. She then went onto London Borough of Camden and worked in a variety pf senior and principal planning officer roles in DM and place shaping. Before moving to the Royal Borough of Kingston to manage the Strategic Planning Team. She then joined Dacorum Borough Council as the head of DM 6 years ago and has recently moved to a new role in the Council ‚Äì Head of Growth and Enterprise.

She also holds extra role for past 7 years as Policy Manager at Planning Officers Society (POS). This allows her to work closely with spatial planning specialists at a national level whilst discussion policy advancements with Ministry Housing Communities and Local Government.
